Compiles Vol. I to IV of "The Healing Music of Rana", previously issued as individual cassettes. The performances were given in Northampton and Amherst Massachusetts and throughout New England, New York and Quebec Province between 1977 and 1983. The original four cassettes are also reissued as a box set in a limited edition of 200.

The music of "The Healing Music of Rana" series uses voice, tamboura, drone box, synthesizers and tape delay. It is improvisational and based on Hindu music forms and ragas.

On the original release of Vol. II, track 1 is "Across Clouds of Distance Past" and track 2 is "Mountain Fragrance".
