The Trainwreck Riders Third full length release The Perch, was released in May of 2009. The Perch was Recorded and Mixed at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco by Patrick Biscoff-Brown and John Kaplan. The Perch definitely has some of the feel of early 90's Uncle Tupelo records, mixed with the edginess of Built to spill, and the straight forward country rock resemblance of Neil Young. In this instance the band's choice to shy away from too much signal processing not only breaths life into the record, but gives it a touch of identifiability and a sense that the tracks are being performed at arms length of the listener.
