Exploring a new city is always a strong and inspiring experience, especially to a musician and artist. If this city is called Berlin, this experience proved to be a special and very intense adventure...
...and as you can hear now: an electrifying one!
With Crimson Chilly Marc Ebert processed his time in Berlin: All the impressions and meetings in the streets, cafe´s and clubs. The music, Marc has perpetuated on the first release of his electronic-project is exactly like the city itself: energetic and individual!
Marc Ebert is musician and has been playing the piano and guitar from childhood on. You´ll notice rather under the surface of Crimson Chilly: Recordings of real instruments are one of the supporting elements of his music. More than often Marc is develloping his tracks out of a guitar- or epiano-riff. When the riff is „ready”, he record it and combinates it with typically electronic spices as analog synthesizers, filtermovements and loops. Additionally his pronounced and practical feeling for drums and percussion is refineing the music of Crimson Chilly to a great deal. These earthy, „natural” grooves together with the expertly, never overloaded composed instrumentation are the characteristics of Crimson Chilly.
Marc Ebert is creating a music with a charmful easiness, which is influenced by (and somehow subsuming) last decade´s electronic music. The longer you listen to a track, the stronger the hypnotic pull of Crimson Chilly is evolving.
