The first disc "Now" is new material recorded 2004 with supporting musicians including Phil Leah, David Grisman, Barry Sless, Mookie Siegel, Robin Sylvester, Richard Greene, Sally Van Meeeter - no specific information on instruments played or on which tracks.

Disc 2 "Then" is archive material and features guest appearances by Jerry Garcia, Bill Kreutzmann, Hal Blaine, Jim Keltner, Joe Osborne. There are four hidden live tracks on disc 2 (unlisted) from Fillmore West 2 July 1971 ft members of The Grateful Dead.

Folded insert includes a picture of the Chris and Lorin with Phil Lesh.
