Lincolnshire Posy and Three Japanese Dances were recorded on March 2, 1958, on 3-track half-inch tape using one 201 and two M56 Telefunken microphones. The performances were originally released on SR90173. Armenian Dances, the Persichetti Symphony, Hill Song No. 2, and Concerto for 23 Winds were recorded on May 4, 1959, also on 3-track half-inch tape using three 201 Telefunken microphones, and were first released as SR90221.
